The Story of
"DADDY"
"Daddy" is a heartfelt song that represents the sounds of a soul’s regret.
In this song Cherie reaches out to the spirit of her father, opening her heart, soul, and emotions of her lifelong struggle for love and approval of a father now gone. She begs for forgiveness and reaches out to her father now gone from this world.
Tormented by the struggle to keep going in life and feeling she was a disappointment to a father she so dearly loved. Never able to meet his dreams and expectations, she explains to him in very heartfelt words that she loved him and felt she had no choice but to run away and find herself to live her life and apologizing for not being able to be the daughter that he always wanted.
Cherie tries desperately to find her inner strength to keep going after he is gone without ever having expressed those final words. Many of us wish we would have with our loved ones once they are no longer with us.
This song will shake your heart and make you feel paralyzed with its level of tenderness, sadness and the pain that comes with the loss of someone you love.
Cherie had written this song as a message to her deceased dad when she attended his funeral and to say to the world what she so longingly wanted to say to him when he was alive.
Cherie lets out all the pain and love that comes with loss and grieving.
